A wheelchair that does not fit causes pressure injuries, shoulder damage and falls. Seat width, seat depth, back height and cushion are not options on a form — they are the chair.

We supply manual chairs for self-propelling users, lightweight transport chairs for people who will be pushed, reclining and tilt chairs for positioning needs, and bariatric frames — along with the cushions that protect skin.

Which kind of wheelchair?

Who pushes, how often, and how far decide the chair.

Medicare looks at whether you need the chair to get around inside your home, and your prescriber’s notes have to say so; we check the paperwork.

A wheelchair that is sized and adjusted properly lets someone get to the table, the porch and the car without help they did not want to ask for.

Is it covered?

Most of what we supply is a Medicare Part B benefit, and most Florida commercial plans and Medicare Advantage plans cover it too, when it is medically necessary and your prescriber has documented why you need it. Coverage is never automatic: it depends on your diagnosis, your plan, and what is written in your chart.

What we do about it: before we deliver your wheelchairs, we verify your benefits, tell you what your plan says your share will be, and chase any missing paperwork with your prescriber. If your plan will not cover it, we say so up front and quote you a private-pay price instead.

We are enrolled with Medicare as a DMEPOS supplier and we accept Florida Medicaid, Medicare Advantage, and a broad list of commercial plans — see the full list.

Frequently asked questions

Manual or transport chair — which do I need?

If the user will push themselves, a manual chair with large rear wheels. If someone else will always push, a transport chair is lighter and easier to lift into a car. Buying the wrong one is common and annoying to undo.

Why does the cushion matter so much?

Because sitting all day on an unsupported seat sling causes pressure injuries, and a pressure injury is far more expensive and far more dangerous than a cushion. If you will be in the chair for hours, the cushion is not an accessory.

Can I rent instead of buying?

Often, yes — sensible for a six-week recovery, less so for a permanent need. We will tell you which applies and what your plan allows.

Do you supply power wheelchairs and scooters?

Power mobility involves a specialist evaluation and a much heavier documentation burden. Call us and we will tell you what is involved before you start, rather than after.

Do I need a prescription?

For anything billed to Medicare, Medicaid or a commercial plan, yes — and most plans also want chart notes showing why you need it. If you do not have an order yet, we can request one from your prescriber.

How do I know what my plan will pay?

We verify it before we ship and tell you what we found, including your expected share. We do not publish coverage amounts on this site because they vary by plan, by state and by year.

How fast can I get it?

Private-pay and stocked supply items move quickly. Anything requiring prior authorization moves at the speed of your plan — we file it the same day and chase it, but the plan sets the clock.
