Walkers, rollators, canes & crutches, handled with care

Most walkers in use are set at the wrong height. Too high and you round your shoulders and lose stability; too low and you stoop. It takes two minutes to set correctly and it changes how safe the device actually is.

We supply the whole range and we set it up for you rather than handing over a box.

Walker, rollator or cane?

Steadiness problems get a walker; stamina problems often get a rollator. The details:

AidHow it worksOften suitsWorth knowing
Standard walkerLifted and moved with each step. The most support; weight-bearing limits after surgery.Folding models store easily.
Two-wheeled walkerGlides forward on two front wheels.Steady support with a smoother walk.Common after hip or knee surgery.
RollatorFour wheels, hand brakes and a seat.People who walk steadily but tire or need rests.Less support than a walker; the brakes must be used.
Cane (single point or quad)Support in one hand.Mild balance or strength problems.Held in the hand opposite the weaker leg; a quad base stands on its own.
Knee walkerThe injured leg rests on a padded platform.Foot or ankle injuries with no weight on one leg.Needs good balance on the other leg.

A physical therapist’s recommendation is the best guide; send it with the order.

Benefits

  • Handle height set for the person at delivery
  • Rollators with seats for resting on longer walks
  • Folding models that fit in a car trunk
  • Canes and crutches sized correctly, not guessed

Everyday use

A walker set to the right height is the difference between shuffling hunched over and walking to the mailbox standing up straight.

Is it covered?

Most of what we supply is a Medicare Part B benefit, and most Florida commercial plans and Medicare Advantage plans cover it too, when it is medically necessary and your prescriber has documented why you need it. Coverage is never automatic: it depends on your diagnosis, your plan, and what is written in your chart.

What we do about it: before we deliver your walkers, rollators, canes, we verify your benefits, tell you what your plan says your share will be, and chase any missing paperwork with your prescriber. If your plan will not cover it, we say so up front and quote you a private-pay price instead.

We are enrolled with Medicare as a DMEPOS supplier and we accept Florida Medicaid, Medicare Advantage, and a broad list of commercial plans — see the full list.

We do not publish coverage amounts or fee-schedule figures on this site. Allowables differ by state, by plan and by year, and a number that is stale or from the wrong jurisdiction is worse than no number at all. Call us and we will quote your actual benefit.

What you will pay

With Medicare or your plan
We bill your plan directly
You owe only the share your plan sets · we bill a secondary when you have one
Private pay
A plain quote before anything ships
No insurance needed · brand-name or generic to fit the budget

We verify first. Before anything is delivered we tell you what your plan says your share will be. If the plan will not cover it, we say so and quote a private-pay price instead — you decide, nothing is sent on assumption.

Prefer to skip insurance? Private pay made easy

No insurance, or want it fast and simple? We quote a straightforward private-pay price, ship supplies anywhere in Florida and deliver equipment across Palm Beach, Broward and Miami-Dade — no paperwork chase. Choose brand-name or lower-cost generic options to fit your budget.

What your order needs

Sending these together is the single biggest thing that shortens turnaround. Missing documentation, not policy, is what stalls most orders.

  • A written order and documentation of the mobility limitation
  • Confirmation that the device is needed in the home, not only outdoors — plans assess DME on in-home need
  • User height and weight for correct sizing
  • Note that Medicare treats a walker and a rollator as similar equipment — having one on file can block the other. See same-or-similar →

Providers: fax to (800) 594-1226 or call (800) 304-7030. If something is missing we will call your office rather than sitting on it.

Frequently asked questions

Walker or rollator?
A standard walker gives more stability because you lift and place it. A rollator rolls and has a seat, which suits people who can walk but need to rest, and suits nobody who needs the walker to bear weight when they stop. Choose on stability, not on convenience.
What height should it be?
Standing upright in your shoes, arms relaxed at your sides, the handgrips should sit at your wrist crease. Your elbows should bend about 15–20 degrees when you hold them. We set this at delivery.
I already have a walker. Can I get a rollator too?
Possibly not on insurance — Medicare treats them as same-or-similar within a set period. We check before ordering, because finding this out after delivery is a bad day for everyone.
When do the tips need replacing?
When the tread is worn smooth. Worn walker and cane tips are a genuine fall risk and the replacements cost very little. Ask us for spares.
Do I need a prescription?
For anything billed to Medicare, Medicaid or a commercial plan, yes — and most plans also want chart notes showing why you need it. If you do not have an order yet, we can request one from your prescriber.
How do I know what my plan will pay?
We verify it before we ship and tell you what we found, including your expected share. We do not publish coverage amounts on this site because they vary by plan, by state and by year.
How fast can I get it?
Private-pay and stocked supply items move quickly. Anything requiring prior authorization moves at the speed of your plan — we file it the same day and chase it, but the plan sets the clock.
Can you ship, or do you deliver?
Both. Recurring supplies ship to you anywhere in Florida. Equipment that needs setting up — beds, lifts, mattresses, chairs — we deliver and assemble across Palm Beach, Broward and Miami-Dade.
