Patient lifts & transfer equipment
Hydraulic and electric patient lifts, slings, transfer boards, gait belts and trapeze systems.
✓ We verify your benefits first 🚚 Delivered or shippedPatient lifts, slings and transfer equipment in Palm Beach County — Invacare, Joerns and Drive Medical lifts delivered and demonstrated by Scotts Medical Supply, Boca Raton FL.
Manual lifting is how caregivers get injured and how patients get dropped. A lift is not a luxury for a household where one person is transferring another who cannot bear weight — it is what makes home care sustainable instead of a countdown to two injured people.

Brand availability changes. If your clinician specified a product, give us the manufacturer reference number and we will source that item rather than substituting an equivalent.
Is it covered?
Most of what we supply is a Medicare Part B benefit, and most Florida commercial plans and Medicare Advantage plans cover it too, when it is medically necessary and your prescriber has documented why you need it. Coverage is never automatic: it depends on your diagnosis, your plan, and what is written in your chart.
What we do about it: before we deliver your patient lifts, we verify your benefits, tell you what your plan says your share will be, and chase any missing paperwork with your prescriber. If your plan will not cover it, we say so up front and quote you a private-pay price instead.
We are enrolled with Medicare as a DMEPOS supplier and we accept Florida Medicaid, Medicare Advantage, and a broad list of commercial plans — see the full list.
We do not publish coverage amounts or fee-schedule figures on this site. Allowables differ by state, by plan and by year, and a number that is stale or from the wrong jurisdiction is worse than no number at all. Call us and we will quote your actual benefit.
What your order needs
Sending these together is the single biggest thing that shortens turnaround. Missing documentation, not policy, is what stalls most orders.
- A written order and documentation that the patient cannot transfer safely without a lift, and that a caregiver is available and able to operate it
- Patient weight, for lift and sling capacity
- Sling type and size — slings are not universal and the wrong sling is a genuine hazard
- Home layout: floor type, clearance under the bed, and whether there is room to maneuver
Providers: fax to (800) 594-1226 or call (800) 304-7030. If something is missing we will call your office rather than sitting on it.
