• Installation into original tile or plaster. Grab bars need a stud or proper backing. We will tell you honestly what we can fit and what needs a contractor rather than leaving a bar in a box.
• City permitting and historic controls. Anything structural may need approval. Better to know before than after.
• A phone that gets answered. The most common cause of a failed delivery anywhere.

Hurricane season and powered equipment

If your equipment plugs in — CPAP, nebulizer, feeding pump, alternating-pressure mattress, power wheelchair — that is a plan you need to have made in June, not on the day the cone shifts.

Register with your county emergency management Special Needs Registry in advance, know whether your device runs from a battery, and keep two weeks of consumables where you can reach them. If a storm is forecast and your resupply is due that week, call us early — we would far rather ship you ahead of schedule than fail to ship you at all.
